BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar said the party welcomed private investment and success of Vizhinjam port

Thiruvananthapuram: The BJP state unit declared all out support to move private investment in Vizhinjam port. Without invoking the name of Adani or the shipping company MSC, to whom the Adani group is planning to transfer 49% of their stake in the strategically important port, BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar said the party welcomed private investment and success of the port.“Vizhinjam port is the biggest infrastructure project in Kerala’s history. It became a reality because of the unwavering support of PM @narendramodi ji and the Govt of India. The BJP/NDA’s position is clear. We welcome private investment, We support the growth and success of Vizhinjam Port, We demand complete transparency,” Chandrasekhar said in a social media post.“Vizhinjam is central to the future of Kerala’s economy, jobs, investment and development. That is why it was a key part of the BJP/NDA’s election manifesto for VikasitaKeralam. Private investment is essential for Kerala’s future. Vizhinjam Port is Kerala’s biggest public-private partnership (PPP) project,” he said.“CM @vdsatheesan spoke about “transparency” in his very first assembly session. Now, is the time to walk the talk. I demand that the CM publish a white paper detailing exactly what this investment will deliver for the people of Kerala – in jobs, revenue and economic growth. That is the transparency and accountability Malayalis deserve,” Chandrasekhar added.
