T’puram: The Tourism department has invited applications from artists, cultural organizations and performing groups interested in showcasing their talents during the Onam Tourism Week celebrations to be held from Aug 24 to 30 across the district.Eligible artists and cultural troupes can submit their applications either by post or in person to the convenor, Onam Tourism Week Celebrations-2026, Department of Tourism Headquarters, Park View, Thiruvananthapuram – 695033. The last date for submitting applications is July 12.Applicants have been instructed to superscribe the application envelope with ‘Onam Tourism Week Celebrations 2026’. Further details regarding the application process are available on the Kerala Tourism website.The week-long festival will feature a wide range of cultural programmes, including performances of classical, folk and ethnic art forms, along with food festivals and trade fairs aimed at showcasing Kerala’s rich cultural heritage and tourism potential.The celebrations will officially begin with an inaugural function at Nishagandhi Auditorium, Kanakakkunnu, on Aug 24. The event will conclude on Aug 30 with the traditional grand Ghoshayathra.The annual Onam Tourism Week celebrations are being organized jointly by tourism department, district administration and district tourism promotion council (DTPC), and are expected to draw large numbers of visitors, artists and cultural enthusiasts from across the state.
