T’puram: Amid reports of its shifting, tourism minister P C Vishnunadh said International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) will be held in Thiruvananthapuram.“There is no truth to reports suggesting that the venue of IFFK will be moved. Thiruvananthapuram will continue to host it. The govt has never considered such a move,” he said.He also said that when the establishment of the JC Daniel International Film City in Kochi was announced, the budget had already made it clear that IFFK would have a permanent venue.That permanent venue, he said, will be set up within the limits of Thiruvananthapuram city. Discussions on the matter are ongoing.He further added that renovation work at Chitranjali Studio will resume and is expected to be completed as soon as possible.There was a concern among film enthusiasts that IFFK could be moved to Kochi after the state budget mentioned setting up of a film city in Kochi.
