Ludhiana: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP’s) national general secretary (organisation) BL Santosh addressed a zonal strategy meeting in Ludhiana on Tuesday to evaluate party preparedness and worker morale ahead of the upcoming Punjab assembly elections.Addressing functionaries and cadres from Ludhiana Urban, Ludhiana Rural, Khanna, Jagraon, Moga, Ropar, and Malerkotla, Santosh reaffirmed that the party will contest all 117 assembly seats independently without entering into any alliance.Party sources indicated that the decision to go solo received support among local workers, following gains in the party’s vote share after its split from the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).During the meeting, Santosh criticised the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), alleging that state development has stalled and pointing to deteriorating road infrastructure in Ludhiana as evidence of governance failure. He further claimed that current govt policies are driving industrial units to migrate out of Punjab.Punjab BJP president Kewal Singh Dhillon also targeted the state govt over rising debt, advocating for a “double-engine” BJP govt to restore economic prosperity.“Punjab will change this time, and the Bharatiya Janata Party will bring this change,” said BL Santosh, urging party workers to take party policies to the grassroots level.Party functionaries including national vice-president Manpreet Singh Badal, state general secretary (organisation) Srinivasulu, and co-in charge Narendra Raina attended the meet.
