Bengaluru: Passengers at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) received on-ground assistance at Terminal 2 on Tuesday, as the airport operator activated a dedicated help desk at the kerbside to manage queries and streamline passenger support amid operational disruptions.Airport officials said the help desk is functioning as a single-window facilitation centre, particularly crucial as multiple international airlines operate from the terminal. With several flights impacted and airline representatives yet to reach the spot in some cases, airport staff stepped in to provide immediate assistance and guide passengers to the ground handlers responsible for specific airline operations. The help desk is handling a range of services, including ground transport coordination, emergency support, and general passenger queries. In addition to query resolution, Bengaluru airport has also rolled out a series of passenger welfare measures at the terminal frontage. Chairs have been arranged to accommodate stranded travellers, while drinking water and snacks are being distributed to those facing extended waits. Charging stations have also been set up to enable passengers to power their devices and stay in touch with airlines and family members. Medical assistance is being made available on request, with airport medical teams stationed to respond to emergencies.
