Baramulla, August 15 : Independence Day 2026 was celebrated across District Baramulla with patriotic fervour, enthusiasm and active participation of people from all sections of society.
The main Independence Day function was held at Prof. Showkat Ali Stadium, Baramulla, where a large gathering witnessed the celebrations. The National Flag was unfurled by Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Shri Javid Ahmad Dar, in the presence of senior civil and police officers, public representatives and a large number of citizens.
The celebrations featured a strong display of patriotism, national unity and pride in the country. People from different sections of society participated enthusiastically in the programme, adding colour and vibrancy to the occasion.
Independence Day functions were also organised at various sub-divisional locations across the district. Senior civil and police officers hoisted the National Flag and participated in the celebrations.
The widespread participation across Baramulla reflected a strong spirit of unity, patriotism and collective pride in the National Flag, making the Independence Day celebrations a memorable occasion across the district.
