Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh governor KT Parnaik and CM Pema Khandu on Sunday joined PM Modi’s launch of ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan’.Chairing a meeting, the governor advocated a grassroots-level ‘detect-counsel-prevent-skill’ strategy, besides proposing ‘Nasha Mukt’ street shows every Sunday for 100 days to sustain awareness.“Grassroots leaders, including gaon buras, community elders, and Panchayat members, must actively identify vulnerable youth and counsel affected families to prevent drug abuse in villages,” Parnaik said.The governor called for skill development, sports and productive youth engagement, citing the Rupa Football League’s ‘Say No to Drugs, Yes to Football’ theme.Joining from Tawang, Khandu urged youths to become campaign ambassadors. “I urge every youth in Arunachal to become an ambassador of this movement and encourage their families, friends, and communities to choose a healthy, disciplined, and drug-free life,” he said.
