Ramgarh: Three women farmers were killed and two others injured in separate lightning strikes in villages in Ramgarh district on Sunday, police said.Patratu police station officer in-charge Shivlal Gupta said Rekha Devi, 45, and Roshani Kumari, 21, were working in a paddy field at Sankul village when lightning struck, killing them on the spot.In another incident at Palani village, Sushanti Devi, 34, died after being struck by lightning while working in a field. Sunita Devi, 27, and Kanchan Kumari, 17, were injured and taken to a local hospital in Patratu for treatment.Police initiated the necessary procedures, while local authorities informed the victims’ families after confirming the casualties.
