In a shocking incident in Alwar, a five-year-old boy was allegedly sacrificed by his uncle in a sorcery ritual. The uncle, Manoj, confessed to the crime, stating he sought the help of a tantrik to bring his wife back home after a domestic dispute.

ALWAR: A five-year-old child who was found killed three days ago in Sarai village, in Mundawar police station area of Khairthal district, was “sacrificed” in a sorcery ritual by his uncle who wished for the return of his wife from her parental home, police said Tuesday.Mundawar SHO Mahavir Singh said police had received information about the body of five-year-old Lokesh being found in a hay house in Sarai village. When police reached there, the child’s uncle, Manoj, was present at the scene. After investigation pointed to Manoj’s role, he was arrested on Monday and upon interrogation he confessed to the murder, Singh said. Manoj told police that the child was his wife’s nephew. He said that following a domestic dispute, his wife had gone to her parental home and refused to come back. To get her back, he contacted tantrik Sunil Kumar, who demanded Rs 12,000, a child’s sacrifice, and the child’s blood for a sorcery ritual.Consequently, Manoj targeted his nephew. On Saturday afternoon, he lured the child to an abandoned house under the pretense of buying him candy, killed him, and hid the body in hay. He also drew out blood from different parts of the child’s body with a syringe before leaving the scene. The SHO said police recovered the syringe used to extract blood and arrested the sorcerer for aiding in the crime.
