Srinagar, August 24: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Monday urged the administration to ensure adequate arrangements well in advance for the smooth, peaceful and hassle-free observance of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), being observed on Wednesday.
In a statement, Bukhari stressed the need for uninterrupted power supply and adequate availability of drinking water throughout the occasion, particularly at places expected to witness large gatherings.
He also called upon the administration to ensure adequate, safe and hassle-free transport services to facilitate the movement of devotees to revered shrines, mosques and other congregational venues.
Bukhari urged the concerned authorities to pay special attention to sanitation and cleanliness, especially in areas witnessing large gatherings and congregational prayers.
He said every possible effort should be made to ensure that devotees are able to observe the revered occasion peacefully, comfortably and with due reverence.
The Apni Party president also expressed hope that all departments concerned would work in close coordination and remain fully prepared to address any requirement that may arise during the occasion.
