Kanpur: Body of an advocate was found hanging in his rented room in Hamirpur and a suicide note referring to betrayal in an 11-year relationship with a woman was recovered, said police.On Friday night, an acquaintance went to meet the advocate at his room in Amar Shaheed area under Sadar Kotwali zone. The acquaintance knocked on the door for a long time but received no response and when he looked through a window he saw the advocate’s body hanging from a noose. On receiving the information, Sadar Kotwali police and field unit team reached the spot and sent the body for post mortem. The deceased was identified as Devi Prasad Yadav, 33, resident of Kusamra village under Kurara police station area. He was living in the rented house for the past one year. Police recovered a suicide note, in which he accused some woman of betraying him after an 11-year relationship, adding that he was sure his mother would have accepted relationship eventually. Expressing his desire not to live any longer, he thanked all his friends and signed off with his name.Police said they were examining the handwriting and investigating the contents of the note. Sadar Kotwali in charge Pawan Patel said family members of the advocate had been informed and further action would be taken based on findings of the post mortem.
