Kanpur: Divisional commissioner Vijayendra Pandiyan dismissed a lekhpal, Alok Dubey, from service after an investigation found that he misused his position to amass 41 properties worth over Rs 50 crore and possessed benami properties.Pandiyan said that the matter came to light when Dubey, while serving as lekhpal, was involved in buying and selling land.Dubey was also accused of possessing assets disproportionate to his income. District magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh had formed a probe committee which found that 41 properties worth over Rs 50 crore were found in Dubey’s possession.Dubey was found guilty after which he filed an appeal before the divisional commissioner which was rejected.
