Chatra: The district administration issued a public advisory on Friday warning candidates against fraud in the ongoing Home Guard recruitment process at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, which began on April 1.Officials said complaints have been received that some anti-social elements are attempting to dupe aspirants by offering jobs in exchange for money. According to the administration, candidates are being contacted through unknown mobile numbers and asked to pay illegal amounts on the promise of securing selection.Deputy commissioner Keerthishree G on Friday clarified that the recruitment process is being conducted in a fair, transparent and merit-based manner. She emphasised that there is no provision for recommendation, middlemen or monetary transactions in the selection process, and any such demand is completely fake and illegal. The administration urged candidates and their families not to fall prey to such calls, messages or individuals. “If anyone demands money in the name of providing a job, the matter should be immediately reported to the nearest police station, cyber cell or district administration,” the DC said. She added that the administration is closely monitoring the situation, and strict legal action will be taken against those involved in fraudulent activities.
