Jhansi: Additional Director General of Police (ADG), Kanpur Zone, AnupamKulshreshtha visited here on Wednesday and held a series of meetings withthe police officials along with public representatives and traders toreview the law-and-order situation in the district.During an interaction programme held at the Police Lines auditorium, theADG listened to the opinions, concerns, suggestions and expectationsregarding public safety, law and order, and police functioning from varioustrade public representatives. Later on during a media brief, ADG Kulshreshtha emphasized the importanceof stronger coordination between the police and the media.She alsoinformed about the cautions being taken during forthcoming religiousprogrammes including Moharram. “We have ensured through peace committeemeetings that the height of ‘Tazias’ should not go beyond the permissiblelimits nor the sound decibels of DJs.”
