Chandigarh: Punjab AAP president Aman Arora on Tuesday hit back at Congress leader Pratap Singh Bajwa over his alleged remark describing Sangrur and AAP as “termite”, saying it reflected his frustration and contempt for the people of Punjab.Rejecting Bajwa’s claim that Congress would form the govt in 2027, Arora said the party leadership was living under a misconception. Taking a swipe at Congress, he said the party had been reduced to 18 seats in the last assembly elections and would struggle to even reach double digits in 2027.Arora said the people of Punjab clearly understood that the path to the state’s prosperity lay with the Aam Aadmi Party. He claimed that Sangrur was the place from where Congress’s decline began and the party was pushed to the margins. He said Punjab’s voters would give a fitting reply to such “arrogant” remarks in the 2027 elections.
