The Spring 2027 season of Copenhagen Fashion Week, otherwise known as everyone’s favorite Fashion Month prologue, has come and gone. And once again, it’s introduced a slew of looks we can’t wait to copy — via both street style and the runways.
Danish designers can be relied upon to provide nuanced takes on rising fashion trends without sacrificing comfort or individuality, resulting in looks that feel rooted in (an exceptionally stylish) reality. Labels like Baum und Pferdgarten, Skall Studio, The Garment and OpéraSport held up that reputation this season, confirming that our closets are about to be filled with: color- and pattern-blocking, pops of light blue, elastic headbands, balloon pants and perhaps even mullet hems. But if that’s not your speed, I’d recommend the “I literally just rolled out of bed” look that dominated several runways.

Bedtime Story
Pajama dressing took many forms across the Copenhagen runways: The Garment focused on dressed-up sets and slips, Skall Studio did nightgowns to take you from bed to the prairie, and others like Freya Dalsjø and Institution by Galib Gassanoff took a more literal route as models appeared to be swathed in (very luxurious) white sheets.

Mullet Over
Mullet hems never stay out of the trend cycle for long, it seems. Designers love a party in the front/business in the back moment, and in Copenhagen they’re creatively applying the silhouette to tops, dresses and skirts alike. Several showed high/low garments as layering pieces: over capris (OpéraSport), trousers (By Malene Birger) and cargo pants (Herskind), while The Garment doubled up on nostalgia trends with bubble-hem mullet gowns.

Battle of the (Head) Bands
Tradwife-coded headscarves are still prevalent on runways (and in street style), but another hairline-covering accessory seems poised to take their place: thick elastic headbands. They were seen keeping models’ hair out of their faces and giving a casually polished vibe to various looks at By Malene Birger, Baum und Pferdgarten and Nicklas Skovgaard.

Balloon Pants Pop Off
Fashion loves to get excited about a new(ish) pant silhouette, and right now designers are all about balloon pants — or genie pants or parachute pants or whatever you happen to call these voluminous, rounded trousers with tapered hems.

Blockbuster
Many Danish labels eschewed quiet minimalism for bold, unexpected color and pattern combinations, often within the same garment. Nicklas Skovgard mixed colors and ginghams alike; Caro Editions went all-in on ’90s-tinged maximalist clashing; and Mr. Larkin blended colorful plaids with stripes. On the simpler end, Gestuz and Baum und Pferdgarden did sporty contrasting accents and Munthe showed classic patchwork denim.
