Times News NetworkKanpur: A six-day training programme on mushroom production technology is being organised at Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology from September 21 to September 26. Head of the department of plant pathology Mukesh Srivastava said that this is a golden opportunity for any person, including farmers, students and urban residents, who want to take up mushroom cultivation or business.“Our country is agriculture-based and to make rural youth self-reliant, it is necessary to provide training in other industries along with agriculture. After receiving training from here, people can start cultivation of Aster, Button or Milky mushroom. In the 6-day training programme, trainees will be provided technical guidance in detail” said Prof Mukesh Srivastava.He said along with this, various practical experiments related to mushroom cultivation will also be conducted during the training. To join the training, one is required to submit Rs 1500 as registration fee along with an ID (copy of Aadhaar) and one passport-size photograph.Arrangements have been made for the stay of farmers coming from other places for which they have to bear the expenses.
