Times News NetworkKanpur: Bodies of a man and a woman were found hanging from a tree near a railway line in the city on Saturday morning. Police said the bodies were found about 1 km from Subhauli village in Maharajpur police station area after villagers alerted the police. A forensic team collected evidence, and both bodies were sent for post-mortem examination.The woman was identified with her Aadhaar card found at the scene. Her sister said that the woman had two children and was missing for three days. The deceased couple were having an affair, she said.Efforts are under way to contact the family of the man. The polythene bag also contained a motorcycle key, a keypad mobile phone with its SIM removed, and Rs 4,200 in cash. Police secured the items and questioned the people nearby.ADCP (East) Shiva Singh said Dial-112 police received information about the bodies around 11.30 am. The police officers reached the scene, took the bodies into custody and began efforts to establish their identities. All aspects of the case are being investigated to ascertain the cause of the deaths, the ADCP said.
