Cuttack: A 40-year-old man from Angul district was killed after a Hyva truck collided head-on with his car on the Trisulia bridge under Barang police limits in the early hours of Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Ajit Kumar Sahoo (40) of Chandragiri village in Angul district. He was driving the car at the time of the accident.Police sources said the accident took place around 3 am when Sahoo was travelling towards Bhubaneswar. The Hyva truck was going towards Cuttack. On receiving information about the accident, a team from Barang police station rushed to the spot and initiated rescue operations. However, Sahoo succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Hyva truck fled after the accident. Police have seized the vehicles. The body was sent for autopsy, said IIC, Barang police station, Biswa Ranjan Nayak.
