T’puram: Pettah police on Monday arrested a man for violating conditions imposed under Kaapa. The accused has been identified as Muhammed Sajeed (28) of Pettah.According to police, stringent restrictions had been imposed on Sajeed based on his alleged involvement in previous criminal activities. As per an order issued by Thiruvananthapuram city police commissioner K Karthick he was required to report before SHO at Pettah station once every week.However, Sajeed allegedly violated this condition by failing to report. Following this, police registered a case and took him into custody. Sajeed was produced in court and remanded in judicial custody. Police added that strict action is being taken against Kaapa accused in view of upcoming elections.
