Mumbai: In a major administrative reshuffle, Maharashtra government on Tuesday initiated transfers of 10 senior IAS officers. Lokesh Chandra, who was Chairman and Managing Director of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company, has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) in the Chief Minister’s Office, replacing Ashwini Bhide, who has been posted as BMC commissioner.Vikas Chandra Rastogi, who was ACS (Agriculture), has been posted as ACS (Financial Reforms) in the Finance Department.Vinita Vaid Singal, who was Principal Secretary of Disaster Management, Relief and Rehabilitation, Revenue and Forest Department, has been posted as Principal Secretary of Soil and Water Conservation Department. Parimal Singh, who was Project Director of Nanaji Deshmukh Krishi Sanjivanee Project in Mumbai, has been posted as Secretary (Agriculture). Tukaram Mundhe, who was Secretary in Divyang Kalyan Department Secretary, has been posted as Secretary in Disaster Management, Relief and Rehabilitation, Revenue and Forest Department. Manik Gursal will replace Mundhe as Divyang Kalyan Department Secretary. Lahu Mali has been posted as Managing Director of Shivshahi Punarvasan Project, Prerna Deshbhratar, who was Sales Tax Joint Commissioner, has been appointed as Commissioner of Fisheries. Additional Municipal Commissioner in Pune Municipal Corporation Prithviraj B P has been posted as Municipal Commissioner of the Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation.Officials said more transfers are on the cards as several top babus like Aseem Gupta, who is ACS in deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde’s office, are holding charge of multiple departments. Gupta is holding charge as ACS of the Urban Development and Housing Departments.
