Kanpur: A wedding celebration turned tragic in Hamirpur district late Monday when an SUV carrying wedding guests overturned near Tedha village in the Sumerpur police station area, leaving one person dead and nine others injured, including five children.The accident occurred when the SUV, carrying a wedding party from Datauli village in Fatehpur district to Bhainsamri village, lost control and overturned near Tedha village. Passers-by alerted the police, who rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Sumerpur.Doctors at the CHC declared 60-year-old Pappu Kumar Raidas, a resident of Bindki in Fatehpur district, dead. The injured were identified as Sawan Kumar (32), Arvind Kumar (37), Palak (13), Prince (4), Bablu (10), Sarthak (5), Hariom (26), Raju (38) and Shubham (40). All were members of the wedding party.
