Hazaribag: Police have arrested a 19-year-old youth for killing a youth of the same age during Ram Navami procession on Jama Masjid Road under Sadar police station limits in Hazaribag city. The deceased was identified as Prince Kumar.The accused has been identified as Karan Kumar, a resident of Balidih under Pelawal police station area, police said on Thursday.According to ASP Amit Kumar, the incident took place during Ram Navami procession on Saturday. Acting swiftly, police launched an investigation and tracked down the accused based on his movement captured in CCTV footages.On the basis of his confession, the double-edged knife used in the crime has also been recovered. “Further investigation is underway to ascertain the motive behind the killing,” he said.
