Ranchi: Police on Wednesday traced an 18-year-old boy who had confined himself in a hotel room in the Chutia area after arriving in Ranchi from Bihar’s Darbhanga to appear for an engineering entrance examination.According to police, Himanshu Raj had informed his mother that he reached the Ranchi bus stand around 7:30 am on Wednesday. However, thereafter he became traceless. After receiving the information, multiple police teams began scanning CCTV footage from roads in and around the bus stand to track his movement. The boy was eventually located at a hotel around 9:45 pm. In-charge of Lower Bazaar police station, Luv Kumar Singh, said, “He had booked the hotel for two days and switched off his phone. We found him after searching nearly 40 hotels.” TNN
