Kanpur: A 20-year-old youth is suspected to have allegedly jumped from the Ganga river bridge on the Bangarmau-Bilhaur route late Wednesday.Locals informed the police when they spotted an abandoned bike, a mobile phone and slippers of a man near the bridge.Police informed the family and learnt that the youth, a resident of Mohalla Sarai, left home on Wednesday evening but did not return till late night.Later, a rescue operation was started by the police and continued till late night, but the youth’s body couldn’t be found.
