Bokaro: A 19-year-old youth was electrocuted while putting up a religious flag on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi on the rooftop of his house at Neeche Pahadidih village in Giridih district on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Sabbir Ansari.He was rushed to Giridih Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. His maternal uncle, Mohammad Islam Ansari, said Sabbir was installing the flag when he accidentally came into contact with a high-voltage power line passing over the house. He suffered an electric shock and collapsed on the rooftop.Family members said Sabbir had married about a year ago and that his wife is pregnant.An officer at Muffasil police station said the body had been sent for post-mortem examination.
