Rourkela: Body of a 21-year-old woman, who went missing from her village in Deogarh district on Tuesday, was recovered from a pond in the village on Wednesday. Deogarh police, after registering an unnatural death case, are probing the case.The deceased has been identified as Dipali Pradhan, 21, a resident of Kalkat village under Deogarh police station.Dipali resided with her parents in Kalkat village. Around 10 am on Tuesday, she went to bathe in a village pond but did not return home. Her parents and family members searched for her near the pond and at other places on Tuesday but could not trace her. n Wednesday morning, a few locals noticed Dipali’s body floating on the pond. They informed her family.Deogarh police were also alerted and fire brigade was summoned. The fire services personnel recovered the body from the pond. Deogarh police seized the body and sent it for post-mortem. It is being suspected that Dipali, when entered into the pond for bathing, might have drowned.After post-mortem, her body was handed over to her family.Deogarh police, after registering an unnatural death case, is investigating the case.
