T’puram: An unidentified woman’s body was found floating in Vamanapuram River near Kollampuzha kadavu in Attingal on Friday. Residents near Kollampuzha Park noticed the body drifting in water and alerted the police and fire and rescue services. Attingal Police, assisted by fire personnel, recovered the body and shifted it to the mortuary and later to MCH for autopsy. The police said the woman appeared to be about 40, but an election ID card found with the body showed a 1964 birth year.Officers are verifying the card, checking missing-person reports, and investigating the circumstances of death.
