Bengaluru: A 35-year-old social activist who had sought euthanasia after there was a delay in handing over a free house promised by then CM Siddaramaiah was found dead with her two children inside the residence she was granted in Sira, Tumakuru district.The deceased are Rabiya Pasha and her children, Tammanna (9) and Simran (5). Police suspect that they consumed poison after Wednesday midnight and died by morning. The incident came to light when two daily-wage workers knocked on the locked door in the morning and later called Srikanth, the live-in partner of Rabiya. Srikanth came from Tumakuru and later broke open the door to find all three dead.Based on Rabiya’s parents’ complaint, Sira police have booked a case of abetment of suicide against Srikanth, who is a realtor. According to Srikanth, Rabiya had fought with him over domestic issues and, in anger, he had left home Tuesday night.In early 2025, Siddaramaiah had promised a free house to Rabiya and had issued orders also. However, the house was not allotted to her until she created a scene by running behind then home minister G Parameshwara’s convoy, shouting that govt should grant her mercy killing.“The house was allotted to her, and she lived in it. The painting work was going on,” a senior police officer said.
