Prayagraj: The blood-soaked bodies of a 48-year-old woman and her 14-year-old son were found at their house at Para Hamidpur village under the limits of Antoo police station in Pratapgarh on Monday, triggering panic among locals.SP (Pratapgarh) Deepak Bhukar said the victims sustained severe head injuries inflicted with a sharp weapon. The woman’s husband works outside the village.The bodies were first noticed by a mason who alerted residents, who then informed the police. “The bodies had deep injury marks on the forehead region, indicating that the killers only intended to eliminate them,” the SP said.Two police teams were formed to crack the case and the circumstantial evidence was collected. “We are probing the case from all angles,” he said. tnn
