Noida: A Delhi woman has submitted a complaint after her sister was found dead under suspicious circumstances in the Bisrakh area, alleging that the victim’s partner abetted her suicide.The complaint was filed by Vaishali Dubey, a resident of Mayur Vihar, who told police that her sister, Shweta Dubey, was found hanging in her rented room in Bisrakh on Feb 28. Shweta had been living in Garden City-1.According to the complaint, Shweta’s partner, Rahul Baisla, informed Vaishali over the phone that he had found Shweta hanging. Vaishali, however, alleged that the family suspects Baisla’s involvement in the death and believes the incident may have been staged as a suicide.She told police that Shweta and Baisla had been in a relationship since 2020-21 and that he had promised to marry her despite already being married. Vaishali also alleged that Baisla had visited the family’s home in Delhi in Dec and threatened Shweta.The complainant said her sister appeared content with her life and had shown no signs of distress or suicidal tendencies, strengthening the family’s suspicion against Baisla.Based on the complaint, police have registered a case under Section 108 (abetment of suicide) of the BNS. Officials said the matter is under investigation and that further action will be taken after examining evidence and recording statements.
