Kanpur: A woman was fatally injured by two fighting bulls on Police Chowki Road in Patara area on Sunday. The victim was rushed to Patara CHC in a critical condition before being transferred to Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital (LLR Hospital), where she succumbed to her injuries in the late evening hours the same day.The deceased, identified as Sunita Sahu, 48, wife of Raju from Raipur Road in Patara, was walking towards Baijnath Dham on Police Chowki Road on Sunday morning. The incident took place near the Jwala Devi Temple complex, where she encountered two aggressive bulls who knocked her down, causing severe injuries as she fell on the road.Local residents and her family immediately transported her to Patara CHC, but due to her critical condition, she was transferred to LLR Hospital but unfortunately, she could not survive. She leaves behind two sons, Mukul and Sachin, with Mukul being married. The family is in deep grief.The issue of stray cattle persists in Patara despite having a temporary cow shelter near Tenapur Mod. According to Patara Gaushala secretary Shailendra Goswami, while they attempt to house the cattle in the shelter, many animals wander in from Ghatampur and Bidhnu regions. Following the incident, the authorities dispatched a team to locate the bulls, but they could not be found. A comprehensive round-up of stray cattle is underway till the time of filing this report on Monday.
