Rajkot: A 29-year-old woman has filed a police complaint at the Jasdan police station against her father’s former business partner, alleging persistent harassment, attempted molestation and criminal intimidation.The accused has been identified as Ghanshyam Radadiya, a resident of Kotdapitha village in Babra taluka of Amreli district. In her complaint, the woman alleged that Radadiya had been harassing her for the past two years through repeated unsolicited phone calls and messages. She further stated that on multiple occasions, he took advantage of her being alone at home and allegedly attempted to molest her, used criminal force, made physical advances, and demanded sexual favours.According to the complaint, when she resisted his advances, the accused allegedly threatened to kill her and her brother.Investigating officer SR Gohil said that about four years ago, the accused and the woman’s father were business partners. The partnership ended two years ago following financial disputes, which strained relations between the two families. During the early phase of the partnership, the woman and the accused had exchanged mobile numbers and remained in contact. The accused currently runs a grocery store.He has been booked under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Sections 74, 75(2), 351(3), and 352.
