Chennai: Auto parts maker Wheels India reported a 42% year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 37 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, on the back of strong growht growth in topline. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 26 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.Revenue from operations rose 17% to Rs 1,386 crore during the quarter, compared with Rs 1,187 crore a year earlier.Exports grew 17% to Rs 380 crore in the April-June quarter of FY27 from Rs 324 crore in the same period last year, driven by strong demand for construction equipment wheels.“The company’s sales grew along with the domestic market for cars, trucks and agriculture tractors that continued their momentum post GST 2.0 reforms. In addition, we saw strong growth in the export of construction equipment wheels, said Srivats Ram, CMD, Wheels India Ltd, adding, “There were strong inflationary pressures on material cost due to the West Asia crisis.On the outlook, Ram said the company expects the growth momentum to continue in the second quarter.
