Patna: As part of their corporate social responsibility, Maitri Ladies Club, Barauni, distributed 10 wheelchairs to differently abled beneficiaries and five sewing machines to needy women during a two-day Anand Mela at NTPC Barauni Township on Feb 7–8, aimed at supporting mobility and promoting livelihood generation.The inaugural event was attended by Sangeeta Goel, president, Sujata Ladies Club, ER-I headquarters; CVL Anuradha, president, Mandakini Ladies Club, Barh; and Dolan Champa Ghosh, president, Maitri Ladies Club, Barauni, along with senior members of various ladies clubs.
The Mela featured a variety of stalls, including exclusive food stalls run by members of the Maitri Ladies Club. The delicious cuisine and game stalls emerged as major attractions, making the event enjoyable for visitors of all age groups.On the second day, township children and residents presented captivating cultural performances, filling the atmosphere with colour, enthusiasm and joy. The event concluded with the much-awaited Lucky Dip draw, offering several attractive prizes.During the closing ceremony, the president of Maitri Ladies Club, Barauni, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the NTPC Barauni team and all members of the Maitri Ladies Club for their dedicated efforts in making the event a grand success.
