He expressed optimism that Choudhary will uphold Kumar’s vision for development, steering Bihar towards prosperity under PM Modi’s leadership. Patna: Union minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday said outgoing CM Nitish Kumar was a living example of integrity, honesty and morality in politics, and that CM-designate Samrat Choudhary would carry forward his development work to make Bihar a developed state.Chouhan, the BJP’s central observer for Bihar, described the occasion as an “emotional and historic moment” and said Samrat would script a new chapter of development in Bihar under the guidance of Nitish Kumar and the blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He credited Nitish with steering Bihar out of the “dark days of jungle raj” and said the state, under his leadership, was the first in the country to introduce an agriculture road map.The former Madhya Pradesh CM said, “Party workers from its Jansangh days, who have helped build the organisation, are seeing their dreams being realised today. Their resolve completes today. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Samrat Choudhary and also to all the members of the BJP legislature party who unanimously elected him as their leader.”BJP national president Nitin Nabin said that, given the manner in which Nitish Kumar had added multiple dimensions to Bihar’s development over the past two decades, the responsibility of taking those achievements to greater heights had now been entrusted to Samrat.Samrat said the entire BJP unit and the NDA leadership, including party president Nitin Nabin, had given him the opportunity to take Bihar forward on the path of prosperity. “I will be taking guidance from Nitish Kumar. I have always got his love. Bihar will progress with the support of the PM and Nitish ji,” he said.BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi expressed confidence that service, good governance and development would gain renewed momentum under Samrat’s leadership.Outgoing deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha, who proposed Samrat’s name, described himself as a committed BJP worker. “After years of hard work on the ground, we now have the opportunity to bloom Lotus here. As a soldier of the BJP and as per my commander’s command, I proposed the name of Samrat Choudhary,” he said.Congratulating Samrat, Union minister and LJP(RV) chief Chirag Paswan said he had closely observed his leadership style and ability to carry everyone along.“The manner in which Samrat ji, as deputy CM, worked in coordination with all the constituent parties alongside Nitish ji, reflects his balanced and mature leadership. I have full confidence that, under his leadership, Bihar will scale new heights of development and good governance,” he said.
