T’puram: The official website of the general administration department (GAD) was hacked on Sunday morning, with the homepage replaced by a Pakistani flag and pro-Pakistan messages. There was also a claim that the website had been compromised by a group calling itself ‘Team Blackleets‘.The incident triggered an immediate security response, with the hosting provider suspending the website account and a cyber team examining whether the breach was confined to the website’s homepage or involved unauthorised access to the server, database or govt information. Officials said the website would be restored only after the necessary security checks were completed.The website — gad.kerala.gov.in — is the official online portal of the general administration department, which handles a wide range of matters relating to the functioning of the state govt and Secretariat administration. The website carries govt orders, notifications, circulars, information relating to appointments and transfers, civil-list details, govt calendars and other administrative information.
