NEW DELHI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds across several parts of the states on Tuesday, as weather conditions turn increasingly active ahead of a further advance of the southwest monsoon. The spell is expected to range from light showers in Delhi to moderate and heavy rainfall in hill states, eastern India and the Northeast. The weather office has also issued yellow alerts in multiple states, warning of thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds over the coming days as the monsoon steadily moves northwards.Delhi weather and yellow alertDelhi may get light rain and thunderstorms over the next few days, even as the monsoon is not expected to arrive before early July.
