NEW DELHI: The IMD has forecast rain, thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds across several parts of the states over the next few days, with heavy rainfall likely in parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The weather is likely to remain unsettled, while Delhi and Uttar Pradesh may see lighter, scattered showers.
Delhi weather tomorrow
Delhi is likely to remain partly cloudy on October 9, with the maximum temperature expected to dip to 32°C. Partly cloudy conditions are likely to continue on October 10 and 11, with temperatures expected to remain between 32°C and 33°C.The city may receive brief spells of rain and lightning, but no warning of heavy rainfall has been issued.
Uttar Pradesh weather tomorrow
Parts of Uttar Pradesh may receive scattered rainfall over the coming days, with Lucknow among the cities likely to see showers. Rainfall is expected to remain lighter than in parts of southern India.
Uttarakhand weather
The IMD has issued a yellow alert for eight districts — Dehradun, Haridwar, Tehri, Pauri Garhwal, Almora, Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar — and forecast moderate rainfall over the next four days.Rain accompanied by gusty winds of 30-40 kmph is possible in these districts, while light to moderate rain may occur at some places across the state over the next five days. Snowfall is possible above 4,200 metres.The change in weather follows the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from Uttarakhand last Saturday, with a western disturbance now influencing conditions.
Himachal Pradesh, J&K and Ladakh weather
Himachal Pradesh is likely to experience thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds, with rain expected through October 11. Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh may also see thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds and rain over the coming days.
Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh weather
Punjab may witness thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds, with rain and thunderstorms possible through Sunday. Weather conditions are expected to remain unsettled across the region.
South India weather
Rain is likely to continue in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, south interior Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe and Lakshadweep.Tamil Nadu and Kerala are likely to receive heavy rain, while scattered showers are expected in several other regions.
Monsoon update
The southwest monsoon is continuing its withdrawal from parts of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Telangana, marking a gradual shift towards the post-monsoon season.Despite the retreat, rainfall activity is expected to continue across several regions, with southern states likely to witness some of the heavier spells and parts of north India receiving scattered rain and thunderstorms.

The IMD expects unsettled weather to persist across parts of north, east and south India over the coming days. Thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are likely in several northern and hill regions, while rainfall will continue across parts of the south.Delhi, Patna and Lucknow may receive scattered showers, while Tamil Nadu and Kerala remain among the areas likely to experience heavier rainfall.
