Kanpur: A woman from West Bengal filed a complaint of being forced into flesh trade. The woman alleged that she was lured to the city on the pretext of job. The police lodged an FIR and initiated an investigation on Friday. Raids were also conducted at many hotels.During questioning, one accused was taken into custody. Names of several hotels involved in illegal activities came to light during investigation. Police carried out coordinated raids at various hotels. Additional deputy commissioner of Police Shiva Singh said, “So far, the names of around 20 hotels have surfaced. The concerned hotel operators are being summoned for questioning.”Further legal action in the case was underway. tnn
