Patna: Special Task Force (STF) of Bihar Police arrested Navneet Singh, a notorious criminal, from Muzaffarpur’s Motipur area on Sunday night. He was wanted in the Danapur court firing case in Patna and was on the police’s ‘most wanted’ list. He is also accused in cases of extortion, murder and land grabbing.According to STF sources, “Navneet was hiding in north Bihar and was either planning a crime or looking to change his hideout. He is an active member and the main sharpshooter of a notorious criminal gang involved in serious offences such as extortion, murder and land grabbing in Patna and nearby areas.”After the arrest, the STF team brought him to Patna. He is being interrogated in connection with the firing at Danapur court nearly two years ago. Police are also tracking the hideouts of other gang members. Local police are investigating who provided shelter to Navneet in Motipur.
