Buxar: Ahead of Holi festival, Buxar DM Sahila and SSP Shubham Arya on Monday reviewed law and order arrangements to ensure peaceful celebrations across the district.All deputed magistrates, patrol and zonal magistrates and police personnel have been directed to report to their assigned locations from Monday. They will remain deployed until March 4 or until the situation becomes normal. Sub-divisional officers and sub-divisional police officers of Buxar and Dumraon will supervise law and order in their respective areas and ensure deployment compliance.Special vigilance has been ordered during Holika Dahan. Fire tenders and firefighting teams will remain stationed at key locations, including the district control room and major police stations. The electricity supply company has been instructed to repair hanging and exposed wires on identified routes. Municipal bodies will ensure cleanliness in urban areas, they said.Health services have been put on alert. Medical teams with medicines and ambulances will remain on standby at sadar hospital, Dumraon sub-divisional hospital and all primary health centres. Govt and private hospitals have also been asked to stay prepared for emergencies.A Quick Response Team (QRT) has been formed to handle emergencies. The district control room will function from the disaster branch on the collectorate campus.Strict enforcement of prohibition laws will continue. Regular raids, motorcycle and boat patrolling in river areas will be conducted to prevent illegal liquor sale and transportation. Officials will maintain close watch on sensitive ghats and identified locations.In total, 102 magistrates and police personnel, 31 patrol teams and two zonal magistrates have been deployed to ensure peaceful Holi celebrations in the district.
