Varanasi: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, through Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), is organizing the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027 to connect young people with the process of nation-building and provide them with a national platform to showcase their talent, leadership, innovation and ideas.Addressing reporters on Thursday, Vikash Kumar Singh, Deputy Director, Mera Yuva Bharat, Varanasi, said VBYLD 2027 is an important national initiative aimed at enabling youth to actively contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. He said the platform will allow young people to present their ideas, innovations, creativity and solutions while playing an active role in nation-building.Under the Viksit Bharat Challenge Track of VBYLD 2027, the first stage is the Viksit Bharat Quiz, which is being conducted through the MY Bharat portal from August 17 to September 30. Youth aged between 15 and 29 years are eligible to participate. The quiz is being held in 22 languages and covers topics related to India’s heritage, achievements, development journey and the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.The quiz will have 20 questions, to be completed in 10 minutes. It aims to help young people connect with the idea of a developed India, assess their knowledge and move forward in the national youth leadership journey of VBYLD 2027.The selection process under the Viksit Bharat Challenge will be conducted in multiple stages. These include the Viksit Bharat Quiz from August 17 to September 30, Essay Challenge from October 5 to 19, District Championship from November 10 to 16, State/UT VBYLD from November 17 to December 7, and National VBYLD from January 10 to 12, 2027.At the national level, the top 10% of participants, up to a maximum of four lakh, will be selected for the Viksit Bharat Essay Challenge. After that, the top 50 essays from each district will be shortlisted for district-level personal presentations. The best two participants at the district level will be selected for the State-level VBYLD.VBYLD 2027 will offer opportunities to youth in six major areas based on their interests and talents. These include the Viksit Bharat Challenge, Cultural Track, Design for Bharat, Hack for Social Cause, Youth Entrepreneurs Challenge and Youth Parliament. Through these tracks, young participants will be able to showcase their abilities and ideas in culture, innovation, technology, social solutions, entrepreneurship, democracy and policy dialogue.The national-level VBYLD will be organized in New Delhi. Selected youth will get the opportunity to present their ideas and solutions and interact with subject experts, senior officials and Union Ministers.
