Vijay congratulates all the winners
In a statement released through the Tamil Nadu Department of Information and Public Relations, Vijay congratulated every winner from the Tamil film industry. His message read: “My heartfelt congratulations to the Tamil film fraternity for creating history by winning 10 National Film Awards across various categories. It is a matter of great pride that Tamil cinema has secured these honours. I wish our film industry many more such achievements in the years to come.” The Chief Minister also acknowledged the winners individually, including Dhanush for ‘Raayan,’ Rajkumar Periasamy, GV Prakash Kumar and R. Kalaivanan for ‘Amaran,’ Anl Arasu and Sachana Namidass for ‘Maharaja,’ Suren G for ‘Meiyazhagan,’ and Hari Harasudhan for the short film ‘Blue.

Vijay’s congratulatory message was warmly received by several National Award winners. ‘Amaran’ director Rajkumar Periasamy acknowledged the Chief Minister’s gesture on X, writing, “Heartfelt Thanks to the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for the wishes.” Composer GV Prakash Kumar, who won the National Award for Best Music Direction (Background Score) for ‘Amaran,’ also expressed his gratitude after receiving Vijay’s wishes. The exchange added another celebratory moment to Tamil cinema’s successful outing at this year’s National Film Awards.
Celebrations continue ahead of ‘Jana Nayagan’ release
The congratulatory message comes at a time when excitement is already building around Vijay’s upcoming film ‘Jana Nayagan,’ which is set for a grand theatrical release on July 23.
