Chennai: Miscreants vandalised the autorickshaw of a social activist in Saidapet as he informed police about ganja sales, illicit liquor and the banned single-digit lottery in the locality. No one has been arrested for the incident so far.The complainant, Irudhayaraj, 55, said he had been sharing confidential information with the local police on illegal activities in the area. After he found his auto vandalised, he lodged a complaint at the Saidapet police station. He sought police protection, claiming he had received indirect death threats. Police registered a case and are examining CCTV footage from the locality to identify the suspects.
