Patna: After the incident of alleged rape of a woman home guard went viral, Vaishali police on Sunday denied the allegations, claiming that the matter was related to love affair between her and the accused. They both are married, police said.Earlier, it was circulated on social media that the woman home guard was abducted and raped by the accused in his home on July 10. After the news came to light, the police raided the accused’s house and ‘rescued’ the woman. She was then admitted to the sadar hospital for primary treatment.The incident allegedly occurred when the home guard along with her sister went to the market on bicycles to buy goods on July 10.It was circulated on social media that while they were returning to their home, the accused, Subodh Paswan, along with another youth, forcibly took the woman home guard to his house and committed the crime.Upon getting information, police reached the spot and ‘rescued’ the woman from the alleged accused’s house and got her admitted to the hospital.Sadar SDPO Sanjeev Kumar said, “The Dial-112 team received information that a woman was held captive in a house. The police team immediately reached the spot and rescued her. Initial investigation and inquiry from the neighbours revealed that both were married and were living together with mutual consent.”The SDPO further stated that the woman’s family has not submitted any complaint so far. The police are further investigating the matter.
