Patna: Bihar is exploring education reforms introduced in Uttar Pradesh, including the Composite School Model and Catch-up Learning, as part of efforts to improve learning outcomes and strengthen the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP).Bihar education minister Mithilesh Tiwari on Sunday said the state was keen to study Uttar Pradesh’s initiatives in school education, particularly models aimed at better use of existing resources and academic support for students with learning gaps.“Effective implementation of the NEP and continuous improvement in students’ learning levels remain our top priorities. The exchange of experiences and best practices between the two states can help make the education system more modern, student-centric and outcome-oriented,” Tiwari said.He added that Bihar was committed to ensuring quality education for every child and creating a stronger academic environment for holistic development.The remarks came after Tiwari met Uttar Pradesh deputy chief minister and health minister Brajesh Pathak at his residence in Lucknow. The two discussed issues related to education, health and public welfare.Senior officials of the Uttar Pradesh education department briefed the Bihar minister on various school education schemes and innovations being implemented in the neighbouring state.
