Nagpur: Vice-chancellor of Nagpur University, Manali Kshirsagar, called upon the graduating students to go beyond academic success and use their knowledge to address real-world challenges. She emphasized that true education is not defined merely by a degree but by one’s ability to respond to a complex and often “broken” world with solutions. Speaking as the guest of honour at the fifth graduation ceremony of Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management (RCOEM) held at its Katol Road campus on Saturday, Kshirsagar encouraged students to carry their technical expertise meaningfully in society.Degrees were awarded to around 2,600 students from the 2024 and 2025 batches across 12 undergraduate engineering programs as well as postgraduate courses including MTech, MBA, MCA, and PhD.Highlighting the importance of ethics, the Nagpur University VC stressed that integrity must always take precedence over efficiency in both professional and personal life. Drawing an analogy with engineering systems, she described life as “non-linear and full of inevitable bugs,” urging students to treat setbacks not as failures but as opportunities to repair, reinvent and rebuild.Delivering the presidential address, Padma Shri Satyanarayan Nuwal, chairman of Board of Management, RCOEM, urged students to “strive, evolve and lead” in every sphere of life. He emphasized that while opportunities for younger generation are immense, success must be rooted in good conduct and character. He highlighted need for students to stay updated with tech and global trends. He reaffirmed RCOEM’s commitment to supporting students in their academic and professional journeys.
