Nagpur: A man was duped of ₹13.65 lakh in a land deal. Complainant Sunilsingh Prasad Gaur (56), an accountant filed a case of cheating at Dhantoli police station against the accused Milind Meshram (44).Gaur, an accountant, alleged that in 2014 he saw a newspaper advertisement by Imagination Info & Resort Limited for plots in Sondapar, Hingna. Between 2014 and 2022, he purchased three plots from Meshram for ₹13.65 lakh and paid by cheque. Gaur claimed to have received sale agreements but the accused did not formally register the plots and allegedly sold the same plots to multiple buyers. When Gaur demanded a refund, Meshram issued cheques which bounced.A case has been registered under IPC.
