Prayagraj: District administration has stepped up preparations for the smooth and fair conduct of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandant) Examination-2026, scheduled for July 19.Following a review meeting held under the chairmanship of additional district magistrate (city) Satyam Mishra and directions of district magistrate Manish Kumar Verma, preparations have been made to ensure that the examination is conducted in a secure, transparent and malpractice-free manner.The examination will be conducted in two shifts across 18 centres in the district. The first shift will be held from 10am to 12noon, while the second shift will take place from 2pm to 5pm. A total of 7,510 candidates have registered for the examination.During the meeting, the ADM reviewed the arrangements and directed sector magistrates, static magistrates, centre superintendents, assistant centre superintendents and other officials to discharge their responsibilities with sincerity and vigilance.Mishra warned that no negligence would be tolerated. He instructed all officials to remain alert throughout the examination process and ensure seamless coordination to avoid any inconvenience to candidates.Emphasising the importance of maintaining the integrity of the examination, the ADM said stringent action would be taken against anyone attempting to disrupt the examination process or indulge in unfair practices.
